Reopening Haven Collective in the Time of COVID-19

Updated July 9, 2020

Ohio’s businesses are responsibly reopening their doors with new guidelines from the CDC and Ohio Department of Health. That means the Haven Collective coworking community can begin returning to the office. We have already put the recommended guidelines into action and will continue to monitor and implement any new guidelines that may be announced later.

We understand how difficult and isolating working from home can be, which is why we built Haven in the first place. Now that even more people have been pushed to work from home, it is even more apparent. It is why we are working so diligently to make our spaces safe and clean so that you can get your work done in a focused environment surrounded by like-minded coworkers (physically distanced, of course).

Now, more than ever, the investments that we’ve made in robust systems have paid off, allowing us to innovate and pivot as necessary. We are confident that we can accommodate our community’s needs as they evolve and are ready to design the new normal right along with you.

Here’s what you need to know today to prepare to return to Haven:

  1. Virtual Community:

    • Haven Collective members will continue to access our virtual online community, events, and resources as an enhanced service going forward.

    • Virtual membership is now also available for people outside of the Central Ohio region to join. Now, regardless of where you live, you can be part of Haven Collective and participate in all virtual online community conversations, events, resources, one-on-one coaching, and mastermind groups.

  2. Operations:

    • Open Coworking: Officeholders can still utilize their private offices and desks as they have been. Open coworking is physically distanced and must follow the the Ohio Public Health Advisory Guidelines for Franklin County, Upper Arlington Ordinance 46-2020, and City of Columbus Ordinance 1643-2020.

    • Coffee & Food: Coffee and tea service will resume at both locations, but will be simplified. The snack service is temporarily canceled. All food in the refrigerator must be labeled and removed at the end of every workday. We will only have disposable coffee cups available, so please bring your own travel mug to help us eliminate waste.

    • Cleaning Procedures: More cleaning by all. You will be asked to stay in the same place to work and disinfect your work area (wipes/spray will be provided) prior to leaving the building to help assist your fellow coworkers. Sanitizing stations are available throughout the spaces.

    • Visitors & Guests: No visitors or guests will be permitted in open areas. You must reserve a conference room (or meet in your private office) to meet with your visitors and they, too, must adhere to these guidelines.

    • Conference Room & Event Rentals: Our conference rooms are available for small gatherings and our larger spaces can be reserved only for gatherings that the state permits.

  3. Kids Club: Kids Club will remain closed until September. We are closely monitoring childcare and public school reopenings.

  4. General Guidelines: In order for Haven to remain open for our community, everyone must continue to follow the main guidelines laid out by Governor DeWine. They include wearing a facial covering at all times inside our open spaces, staying home if you have a fever or are experiencing any symptoms, wash your hands regularly and use the hand sanitizers throughout the spaces, continue following physical distancing of 6ft between people whenever possible.

We don’t believe that what we’ve laid out will become our “new normal”. We believe that this is just a stepping stone along the path to getting there. So, as long as we remain patient and show one another grace, we will be able to come to a long term solution that works for more people and allows us all to shine brighter together.
