Daniel Lim: Real Estate for Investors

Daniel Lim is the founder and owner of <a ” href=”https://www.limrealtygroup.com” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Lim Realty Group – a real estate brokerage that specializes in working with investors in the Central Ohio market. Daniel believes there is a better way to do real estate so he’s created a team dedicated to doing just that.

Life Before Real Estate

Before real estate, Daniel was a business analyst and project manager in the energy industry focused on improving processes in sales, operations, logistics, risk management, marketing, finance, and IT.

It wasn’t until 2012 that Daniel discovered his passion for real estate while in the process of purchasing his first house.  As he was learning about the construction and design process involved in homeownership, he also became interested in property investment opportunities. From there, he began purchasing more properties and eventually went on to receive his real estate license.

Before founding Lim Realty Group, Daniel previously ran a residential real estate brokerage in downtown Columbus where he learned the ins and outs of running a business and managing a team.  After a number of years, it became time for Daniel to branch out: “Being a real estate investor myself and having worked with many investor clients, I wanted to start a brokerage that focused on the investor.”

About Lim Realty Group

At Lim Realty Group, they believe there is a better way to do real estate. Property, whether it’s your own home or an investment, isn’t just about deals and transactions, it’s about building a strategy for life. The team at Lim Realty believes that you can indeed start small, at any time, and with the right mindset and tools, you, too, can have what you want.

They know that real estate can be complicated and isn’t always easy. That’s why they work to understand your situation and goals, simplify the hard parts, and make sure you understand your options in order to make the best decisions possible.

The team is made up of experienced agents who have all personally been through the good and bad of homeownership and investing.  Across their services, they bring real experience to your real estate needs at the right level for you. Building value and relationships are their real specialty because real business is personal.

Daniel mentions that since he started in the real estate business, the Columbus market has continued to go up each and every year. And, just as with all businesses, the pandemic created some changes. Covid made his brokerage even busier with increased demand and less supply. His team has had to adapt to the changes and become more creative in finding and negotiating properties. Although challenging, the Lim Realty team has found ways to thrive.

More About Daniel

One of Daniel’s favorite parts about being a business owner is the personal growth and continuous development that comes with it, stating, “Being an entrepreneur forces you to learn and take on new challenges every day.”

He also advises new entrepreneurs to narrow their focus and be selective with where they put their time and energy. He says it’s important to not take everything on and that it’s really important to have somewhere you can focus on just your work. “I’ve worked from my kitchen table and even had a dedicated space in my house but I found that being in a completely different environment such as a coworking space works best for me.”

In his downtime, Daniel enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and traveling as much as possible. Daniel is also an internationally certified martial arts instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience and has a BSBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Daniel lives at his home in Harrison West with his dog Tuxedo. You can find him at local coffee shops and at great restaurants around town.
